The mission of Harvesters of Hope is to grow the legal profession in Alabama’s small towns and underserved communities. To improve access to justice; advance the administration of justice; increase economic vitality; and revitalize Alabama’s small towns and underserved communities.

Across Alabama, many small towns face a growing crisis. Nearly half of our counties are considered legal deserts, meaning there are 1,000 or more residents for every one lawyer. In some communities, that ratio climbs to more than 10,000 to 1. This gap leaves families without help, courts without support, and entire regions without the legal foundation needed for economic growth.

Harvesters of Hope is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created to change that. Our mission is simple. We place, support, and mentor lawyers who are ready to build thriving practices in underserved counties. By doing so, we expand access to justice and help revitalize Alabama’s small towns.

Where lawyers take root, communities grow stronger. We are here to plant those seeds of change.
